Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mix of great and not-so-great experiences. On the positive side, the rooms were incredibly spacious and well-equipped with luxurious amenities. However, there was a delay in room readiness. The service was top-notch, with extremely friendly staff, but the dining options were average. The location was superb, right in the heart of the city with convenient access to everything. The facilities were good overall, although some areas like the rooftop pool could be improved. Despite some shortcomings, the value for money was decent for Accor Plus members.
The hotel boasts clean and modern rooms with views overlooking Roma Street Station, though the bed options were a slight surprise. The service was generally pleasant and efficient, but lacked sympathy in one instance. The location is fantastic, offering easy access to key spots in the city. The dining experience was top-notch, especially the Italian strata.
Upon arrival, the room was not what I had paid for and booked, very dusty, and the room air con vent was full of black dust oozing out. The staff were more than accommodating, moving me to a new room which was amazing. However, they seemed too busy googling something in plain sight and advised they were not permitted to serve alcohol at lunchtime. The location was perfect for Christmas entertainment at King George Square, shopping at Queen Street Mall and Southbank, and close to many restaurants and shopping spots. The dining experience was truly 5-star with a great mix of dishes, but the waiting time for a cappuccino was more than 20 minutes. The hotel is undergoing renovations, yet it still offers delightful nibbles, wine, and beer in the VIP Lounge from 5:30 till 7:30 pm.
